How long have you been a member of Queen’s Park Harriers?
Just over two years. It was actually the Queens Park Day fair where my girlfriend Kate and I found out about the club. I believe it was Johnny Suttle who was manning the stall and lured us in!
What's the best thing about running?
A couple of things for me. Firstly the fact that's it's such a cheap and easy way to stay fit and healthy—just put on your trainers and head out the door! Also, the social side of being part of running club is fantastic, and adds a whole new dimension to the sport for me.
What's your favourite running event?
I massively enjoyed the Green Belt Relay last year. It was great fun jumping in and out of minibuses, cheering on starters and finishers, and trying to navigate beautiful sections of London's green belt over the course of a weekend. No surprise that I've signed up again this year.
What else do you do?
I work for the Environment Agency as a flood and coastal risk management officer.
I play a bit of football with work, and enjoy following Tottenham Hotspur (the greatest team in London!).
Tell us something surprising about yourself that other members may not know.
I was born in the USA so hold dual citizenship. Who knows one day you may see me running the country, I mean can't get much worse than the current bloke they've got!
